Shillong, June 16: Abhijeet Saha who owns egg wholesale in Tura Market alleged that Supervisor of Tura Municipal Board demanded Rs 1 Lakh from him. He said that if not paid he will cancel his licence. Saha also said that the supervisor warns him on daily basis despite all his documents are updated.
Saha also claimed that the supervisor had taken several tray of eggs during lockdown from his shop and also from other shops.
The supervisor has been identified as Stemson M Sangma.
He also said that he is a resident of Tura, and he has all the required documents, yet the supervisor warns him of closure.
Abhijeet also said that the supervisor also threatens his staff to close the shop.
He further said that when he ask for his money back, the supervisor instead threatens him.
Meanwhile, other shopkeepers said that there was a heated argument between the owner and the supervisor.
The also said that the supervisor asked the owner on why did he open the shop etc.
