The National People’s Party (NPP) expressed optimism about winning the Gambegre bye-poll, citing a trend in which ruling parties often secure victories in bye-elections. NPP leader and Cabinet Minister A.T. Mondal emphasized the distinction between general elections and bye-elections, stating that the latter tend to favor the incumbent government.
Speaking on the development, Power Minister A.T. Mondal said, “The tariff is fixed by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission. Let all the orders come out, then we will review everything as per industrial and domestic requirements. Some relief was given to industries to encourage investment, but we will assess this situation comprehensively."
