The All Assam Minority Students’ Union (AAMSU) has called for the immediate removal of Assam’s Health Minister Ashok Singhal from the state cabinet, branding him as unfit to hold a constitutional post.
The meeting, part of a series held across Upper Assam districts, also focused on pressing healthcare challenges, particularly maternal and neonatal mortality rates (MMR and IMR), which remain disproportionately high in the region.
