According to CM Himanta, during the stay, the people of Rajapukhuri village shared with him their experiences of the transformative impact of various welfare schemes of the PM Modi led NDA Government.
Talking to media persons, Sarma said, "This is a old circular which is for Assam government employees. From the point of view of the service rule, he is not entitled to enter into second marriage. We have enforced the the law for the state government employees".
Around 40 lakh members of women's self-help groups from across the state have participated in planting two commercially viable saplings each, taking the total to 80 lakh.
