The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has dismissed claims for additional interim compensation by families affected by the 2020 Baghjan oil well blowout, upholding the existing framework for victim categorization and payouts.
Yet again an Oil gas rig operated by Oil India Limited in the Dighaltarang area under Baghjan village of Tinsukia district spewed out crude oil, gases, and condensates uncontrollably for almost three hours on Tuesday night.
