Tripura Police have detained 10 Bangladeshi nationals, all from the Hindu community, after they illegally entered India, allegedly fleeing unrest and threats in their village in Bangladesh, an official said
Acting on a specific tip-off, on 26th November 2024, troops of the 22nd Battalion, BSF Meghalaya, in a joint operation with local police, apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals, namely Taharul Islam (23 years) from Chapainawabganj District and Md. Sayed (30 years) from Rajshahi District, near the bordering area of West Garo Hills District.
