NPP legislator from Mawkynrew Banteidor Lyngdoh on Wednesday met Power Minister Abu Taher Mondal requesting his intervention to resolve the recurrent power cuts and inclusion of affected areas under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
Amanda Pakyntein, wife of sitting legislator from Mawkynrew and former cabinet minister Banteidor Lyngdoh, on Monday filed her nomination papers from Mawkynrew on a National People’s Party (NPP) ticket for the upcoming elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and expressed confidence to win the seat.
