Vehicular movement restricted at National Highway-6

Deputy Commissioner, & Chairman District Disaster Management Authority, East Jaintia Hills District stated through an order that, due to heavy downpour the road at National Highway-6 at Lumshnong, has become extremely vulnerable and under the provision of Section 34 (b) and (m) of the Disaster Management, Act 2005, vehicular movement are prohibited with immediate effect till restorative works are completed.
