East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem on Tuesday urged two‑wheeler owners to fit GPS trackers and locks after a recent spurt in thefts, mainly in the city.
The Meghalaya Human Rights Commission has closed a case against former Superintendent of Police (SP) of East Khasi Hills District Rituraj Ravi after establishing that there has been no violation of human rights committed by him against Bindas Syiem during her hunger strike protest last year.
