Tripura EC launches Home Voting for elderly and disabled to boost voters turnout

The Election Commission in the West Tripura parliamentary constituency has initiated home voting on Wednesday, the initiative will continue for two days and end on 12th April. The facility reaches to voters at door step for elderly voters aged eighty five and above, and for as people with disabilities (PwD).

Fear of strike compels GHADC authorities to hasten salary release

On the eve of a three days protest strike by hundreds of employees of the GHADC to vent their anger against the Executive committee for their repeated delays in releasing just two months of dues, out of the 31 pending months, the Albinush Marak led EC has moved into top gear pushing salaries into waiting accounts of the staff prompting the workers to call off their stir that was proposed to take off from Tuesday.

KHADC holds Border Committee meeting with community leaders of disputed areas, encourages them to stay with Meghalaya

The Executive Committee (EC) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) on Friday convened a Border Committee meeting with community leaders from five disputed areas to encourage people's participation in voicing their desire to be part of Meghalaya during the visits of the Regional Committees from both the states of Meghalaya and Assam.
