The Hynniewtrep Achik Awakening Movement (HANM) on Friday announced its decision to stage a protest at the national capital to pressurize the Centre for immediate implementation of the inner line permit (ILP) and inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said the Government of India is conscious of the sentiments and requirements for inclusion of other languages in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
