As part of its efforts in reaching out to the young voters, the Election Department, Government of Meghalaya on Saturday launched the State Level SVEEP Program titled "Taking Youth and Democracy Together".
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday reacted after the Election Commission of India proposed to retain the number of assembly seats in Assam at 126 and the Lok Sabha constituencies at 14 as it released the draft delimitation for the state.
The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday published a delimitation draft proposal for the state of Assam under which the number of Lok Sabha and assembly seats remains same at 14 and 126 respectively.
