In a tragic incident on Saturday evening, Rikrak S Sangma, aged 26 and son of Meckenson Ch. Marak, resident of Jolgaongre village of South West Garo Hills (SWGH) fell victim to a wild elephant attack.

In a devastating incident early Saturday morning, a wild elephant claimed the lives of three individuals, including two forest guards, in Sonitpur district, Assam. The attack occurred in Dhirai Majuli village, where the elephant had strayed from the nearby Dhekiajuli forest.
