A day after the retaining wall of PA Sangma stadium was damaged, the chief engineer of state sports council of Meghalaya, BM Syiem on Friday said that in this particular project, a MoU was signed between Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya and Hindustan Steel Works Construction Limited (HSCL) to execute the work on behalf of the Government department.

A prayer for peace was conducted on Friday at Garo Hills Catholic Schools, sending a remarkable display of unity. The International Yoga Day 2023 was organised in Wednesday at Don Bosco Jr College, Tura Meghalaya. The Yog Divas was organised by the India tourism, Shillong (Incredible India) in collaboration with A'chik Tourism Society and supported by the District Administration West Garo Hills.
