Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday visited the flood and landslide hit areas of West Garo Hills district and interacted with the affected families in relief camps and villages as well as distributed ex-gratia to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the recent tragedies.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma would be visiting the flood and landslide affected areas of Garo Hills on Tuesday to assess the situation and interact with the villagers and inmates in relief camps.
The casualties in the Garo Hills keeps increasing, with the death toll increasing to 17 after two more children fell victim to the heavy rain induced deluge in the region.
