Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Kataria presented the award to Ranjan Gogoi in the presence of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The Trinmool Congress has demanded the removal of Gulab Chand Kataria as the governor of Assam for attending an election rally of the BJP in Rajasthan.
After his arrival, Jagdeep Dhankar was welcomed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Lok Sabha member Queen Oja, and other dignitaries at the airport.
