In their relentless efforts to curb the menace of drug peddling and abuse in the state, Meghalaya police arrested four drug suppliers with heroin from Umshyrpi bridge on Friday.
In its relentless drive to combat the menace of drug trafficking in the state, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills on Friday apprehended three drug traffickers in Shillong City.
From their possession, heroin – 1.13 gms, 417 empty vials, 39 unused syringes, 2 mobile phones and 1 Tata Intra pick up bearing No. ML 05 Z 9479, were seized.
Three Manipur based drug peddlers were apprehended and subsequently another three Assam based peddlers, who were supposed to receive the consignment, were also apprehended from Sachika hotel at Amingaon.
East Khasi Hills police on Sunday nabbed one shrewd interstate drug trafficker and seized crystal meth (10.16 kg), a potent and deadly drug worth Rs 15 crore.
