A man was apprehended in Assam’s Mankachar area on Thursday after police allegedly recovered suspected heroin from his possession during a raid conducted at Kuchnimara village.
In a swift, intelligence-led operation near the India–Myanmar border, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in coordination with the Assam Rifles, dismantled a major international drug trafficking network, seizing 7.312 kg of high-grade heroin.
