The High Court of Meghalaya has given its verdict to a PIL directing the state government to ensure uninterrupted power supply to hospitals and emergency centres in the state even as the state continues to grapple with load shedding for a few hours, everyday.
He said the state have been engaged in this form of mining for last 200 years and livelihood is based around that and unless and until alternate forms of livelihood don’t come up people will keep going back to those activities.
