Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday inaugurated the office building of the Hima Mawphlang at Lumryngkew Mawiong, Mawphlang in East Khasi Hills.
In a significant development, the Hima Mawphlang handed over the No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Chief Secretary DP Wahlang on Friday, after three years of continuous dialogue.
According to the Minister incharge Public Health Engineering (PHE) Marcuise N Marak, the demands of the Hima Mawphlang keep on increasing despite the government's readiness to provide jobs to around 20 people from the area.
