The 3rd India-Japan Education Conclave held today at Guwahati brought together key figures from India and Japan to strengthen educational, cultural, and research ties between the two nations proving that North East India is a key region for academic exchange with Japan.
A delegation led by Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. M Ampareen Lyngdoh, and Ram Kumar, Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department, is on an official visit to Japan.
In collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Guwahati Water Supply Project has welcomed registrations for residents in 21 District Metered Areas from March 5.
It is a matter of pride that the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India, has recommended the name of a research scholar from the Department of Management, NEHU,Tura Campus, Darilin Tang, an inhabitant of Iooksi Village of Jaintia Hills from Meghalaya, as one of the delegates in the exchange programme representing India out of a total of eight delegates from India.
To promote Japan culture in Meghalaya, the Japan Caravan was launched on Friday which was attended by the Ambassador of Japan to India, Hiroshi Suzuki, along with cabinet ministers - Ampareen Lyngdoh and AL Hek.
