Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Monday informed the Assembly that the government is continuously pursuing with the Centre for immediate inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday said the state government had already written a letter to the Centre for immediate inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday informed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured to examine issues related to Inner Line Permit (ILP), inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages and others raised by the State delegation.
