These precautionary steps come in light of a letter from the Secretary to the Chief Minister to the Director General of Police (DGP) and Security Advisor to the Manipur government, claiming that around 900 Kuki militants from Myanmar had infiltrated the state and preparing for a coordinated attack allegedly in the valley areas on September 28
The Kuki Inpi Manipur, the apex body of Kuki tribes, accused the N. Biren Singh-led Manipur government of plotting a reckless bid to infiltrate Myanmar-based PLA militants into the state.
The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) and Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), General Headquarters, have expressed disappointment over the recent order of the Supreme Court concerning the disposal of unclaimed dead bodies.
KIM Information and Publicity Secretary, Janghaolun Haokip said  that besides the compelling evacuation of the people, all the Kuki settlements had been looted, vandalized, and torched by the Meitei.
