National People’s Party (NPP) national general secretary in-charge finance, James K Sangma, on Friday said his party is far ahead of other political parties in as far as preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are concerned.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday reacted after the Election Commission of India proposed to retain the number of assembly seats in Assam at 126 and the Lok Sabha constituencies at 14 as it released the draft delimitation for the state.
The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday published a delimitation draft proposal for the state of Assam under which the number of Lok Sabha and assembly seats remains same at 14 and 126 respectively.
