Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA), managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, has reached a new milestone by achieving Level 2 accreditation under the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Customer Experience Accreditation program.
The cargo terminal is currently 550 square meters in area and a new plan is being initiated to build an international cargo terminal building in a very near future.
The airport witnessed nearly 3839 movements of flights in August 2023, which is 14% higher than the August 2022 figure. A passenger-centric approach has led to this growth.
After his arrival, Jagdeep Dhankar was welcomed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Lok Sabha member Queen Oja, and other dignitaries at the airport.
