Former chief minister of Tripura, Manik Sarkar, on Thursday said that party stalwart Harkishan Singh Surjeet inspired and guided Sitaram Yechury to maintain a close relationship with the like-minded and secular parties to strengthen the democratic movement against the fascist and communal forces.
Former Tripura chief minister and the BJP candidate for the Tripura West Lok Sabha seat Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday claimed that the veteran CPI-M leader Manik Sarkar is not willing to vote for Congress candidate Ashish Kumar Saha, who is also contesting from the same seat as a consensus nominee of the INDIA bloc.
