Fresh tensions erupted in Manipur after some unidentified men torched three abandoned houses at New Lambulane locality in Manipur's capital, Imphal, on Sunday afternoon.

With relation to the proposed Special Assembly Session of the Manipur State Legislative Assembly, the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), Kuki Students Organisation-General Headquarters (KSO-GHQ), Kuki Chiefs Association (KCAM), and Kuki Women Union (KWU) cabinet meeting have resolved that no Kuki-Zo MLA must participate in the said session either in person or through video conferencing in the interest of the people.
The ethnic-violence in Manipur has severely hit postal services in the State, resulting in citizens not getting their parcels on time. The post offices are unable to dispatch the parcels on time due to lack of internet in their offices.
Singh was accompanied by a few ministers and state BJP leaders. He held the meeting with Shah in New Delhi on Thursday night and returned to Imphal on Friday.
Manipur external affairs minister R.K Ranjan Singh said that the government has been taking all possible measures to fix the passport related issues arising in the state and urged the public to apply online because internet has been restored in some places of Imphal.
