UDP chief Metbah Lyngdoh on Monday said the people of Shella will ensure the party retain the seat in the upcoming elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), to be held next year.
Teinwel Dkhar, the incumbent Member of District Council (MDC) representing Shella Constituency, has announced his decision to abstain from the upcoming MDC election, citing health concerns.
