Amritpal Singh, the chief of Waris Punjab De and recently elected Member of Parliament from Punjab's Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat, is set to be flown to Delhi from the Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam for his swearing-in ceremony on July 5.
The jail term of nine associates of 'Waris Punjab De', who were booked under National Security Act (NSA) and currently lodged in Dibrugarh Central Jail, has been extended for three more months starting from June 18.
One more supporter of 'Waris Punjab De', who was lodged in Dibrugarh Central Jail has been sent to Assam Medical College and Hospital for checkup and treatment after his health deteriorated due to hunger strike.
The staff of Dibrugarh Central Jail recovered a smartphone with SIM, a keypad phone, a TV remote with keyboard, a spy cam pen, pen drives, Bluetooth headphones, speakers, and a smartwatch during a search operation.
