Amritpal Singh files nomination from Dibrugarh Central jail

DIBRUGARH, May 10: Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh filed his nomination from Khadoor Sahib constituency as independent candidate on Friday.

Amritpal Singh, currently is detained under the National Security Act (NSA) in Dibrugarh Jail of Assam, has been facilitated to file his nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The nomination was filed by his lawyer and relatives at District Returning Officer’s office.

The nomination was filed by his lawyer, Harjot Singh, his relative Sukhchain Singh and five others on behalf of him at the office of the District Returning Officer in Khadoor Sahib.

Confirming about the development, Amritpal Singh’s lawyer Rajdev Singh Kalsa his uncle Sukhchain Singh came to Dibrugarh Central Jail on Thursday and had taken Amritpal Singh’s signature in the documents.
