A public meeting cum peace rally was held on Thursday in Ampati in South West Garo Hills, organized by the Garo Students’ Union (GSU), Western Zone, to demand justice for the victims of two brutal rape cases that have shaken the region.

A massive peace rally was organised in Manipur’s capital, Imphal, on Saturday by various organisations including the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), the main civil society organisation of the Meitei community, demanding action against the Kuki-Chin terrorists, who according to protestors were responsible for the ongoing violence in the state.

In an unprecedented show of unity and determination, more than 10,000 people gathered at Lamka Public Ground in Manipur for the "Rally for Separate Administration" on Thursday.

All the Catholic Christians are being exhorted to keep Saturday, 24th June as a day of prayer and fasting for Manipur.
