A look at the GPO reveals scores of empty shelves where at one point of time were filled with ordinary letters

According to FKJGP president , Dundee C. Khongsit, nearly all of the 45 Gramin Dak Sevak positions have been filled by candidates from outside the state. Khongsit said that this issue is due to the absence of local languages - Khasi and Garo, as optional languages during the recruitment process, which has disadvantaged local youths.
