Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Justice Sanjib Banerjee, on Saturday inaugurated the new District & Sessions Court building at Mendipathar, Resubelpara in North Garo Hills district.

The event was organized by Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) in collaboration with District Administration of North Garo Hills, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Horticulture Department, Sericulture Department, Handloom Department, DCIC, MSRLS, MBDA-MBMA, North Garo Hills District.

The epicentre of the tremor was near Resubelpara, at a depth of 10 kms.

The Muga Eri silkworm seed orientation programme was held under the district of North Garo Hills, Resubelpara.

JRT Sangma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, North Garo Hills, who was the chief guest at the event while addressing the gathering apprised on the ill effects of drugs, imploring the gathering to stay away from the usage of drugs while also highlighted on measures to stop the menace of drug.
