Meghalaya’s Education Minister, Rakkam A. Sangma, announced that the state government has approved scholarships for students in the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program. In a major relief to the students of the state waiting for their scholarships, the Government of India has released the second instalment of the Post Matric Scholarships to Scheduled Tribe Students for the year 2022-23.
Education Minister Rakkam Sangma said that the education department has already submitted the required documents, and all procedures have been followed.
Meghalaya Education Minister, Rakkam A Sangma, has informed that the state government is awaiting the disbursement of the first instalment of scholarships for the students from the Ministry of Minority, Government of India.
Sangma said that the department has received complaints that many students are yet to get their scholarships for various reasons. He informed that last Friday, the officers of the department held a meeting with the bank representatives on the matter.
