The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has announced several traffic restrictions ahead of the Durand Cup 2024 Semifinal football match between Shillong Lajong FC and NorthEast United FC, scheduled for August 26 at the J.N. Stadium in Polo in Shillong at 5:30 PM.
The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has detected 408 numbers of vehicles from 14th July to 1st August, 2024 who are using unauthorised black/tinted films on their vehicles and action has been taken accordingly against the violators as per the provisions of MV Act.
In view of the upcoming Christmas and New Year, the Shillong Traffic Police (STP) on Wednesday announced that the department will conduct vigorous checking drives across Shillong City to reduce road crash casualties and fatalities.
The operation, conducted at the Police Reserve in Shillong, was carried out in the presence of notable figures, including SP East Khasi Hills Sylvester Nongtnger, SP City Vivek Syiem, SP Traffic K Prasad, and others.
