Meghalaya's Under-17 Boys' football team narrowly lost to Manipur in a dramatic 4-3 penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regular time in the final of the 63rd Subroto Cup International Football Tournament in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The State Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament 2024 for U-15 boys and U-17 boys and girls has reached its last leg with the finale commencing in Shillong on Saturday. Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) representing West Garo Hills district will play the final against Nongjri Presbyterian Secondary School of Ri Bhoi district in the Under-15 boys category on Saturday.
