The Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC) has taken suo-motu cognizance of three recent cases of abuse and harassment against women in the state, ordering thorough investigations into each incident. The commission, led by former Tripura High Court Judge Swapan Chandra Das, has instructed the concerned authorities to submit detailed reports within two to three weeks.
