The detention of Thokchom Sujata, a prominent Meitei women’s leader and convenor of Image Meira, by Delhi Police has triggered widespread condemnation. Sujata was detained on Thursday at her place of stay, preventing her from participating in the Nupi Lal observance at Jantar Mantar, organized by the Delhi Meitei Coordinating Committee (DMCC).
