Amidst mounting pressure from concerned citizens and various stakeholders, the Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills issued an order on Monday afternoon, imposing restriction on the entry of heavy vehicles carrying goods exceeding 9 MT within the Tura Municipal Area.
The order said that goods carriage vehicles with more than 9 MT carrying capacity are strictly prohibited from entering the Tura Municipal Area at all times, except on permission from District administration.
