Office bearers of the Village Defence Party (VDP) of Quinine Nongladaw on Wednesday issued a strong warning to members of the public who are in the habit of littering, discarding liquor bottles, and killing fish by using poisonous substances in the Umran River located within the village jurisdiction.
A group of children, who went to swim at the Umran River near Sohliya village in Ri Bhoi District, found a body floating on the river and informed village head, who subsequently informed the police from Umsning Police Station.
