The players - Apandanka Marak, Gaurav Jyoti Thakuria and Dipayan Nandi - have been selected on the basis of their tremendous performances during this season's U-16 boys Vijay Merchant Trophy, which ran from 1 December 2023 to 6 January 2024 in which Meghalaya were the runners-up in the plate group.Â
