The excitement is already in the air, the festival takes place at the same unique as previous years—Baljek Airport in Jengjal, West Garo Hills—from November 29 to 30.
Named after a flower, the Me•Gong Festival is a celebration of the vibrant lifestyle, rich culture and distinctive traditions of Garo Hills region.
The 2024 lineup is bigger than ever, with international and national stars set to take the stage. As part of its mission to uplift local talent, the Me•Gong Festival will also showcase emerging Garo Hills-based artists at the Meghalaya Grassroots Music Project (MGMP) arena, creating a platform for regional musicians to shine.
Beyond the music, the festival offers a host of engaging activities: a traditional Garo village experience, a lively brew competition, exciting traditional games, and special Maharaja tents for international guests.
