Shillong, Jan 7: One Pawan Kumar (23), a tourist from Hyderabad, drowned at a natural pool near Rainbow Falls in Nongriat, Sohra.

23-year-old Pawan Kumar and his friends were swimming in the pool near Rainbow Falls when he suddenly drowned. The Rainbow Falls is accessible only by trekking from the double-decker root-bridge at Nongriat.

The body was later retrieved by his friends with the help of the locals.

It may be recalled that a 24-year old tourist from Chhattisgarh lost his life after he drowned in the Rainbow Falls at Nongriat on December 7, 2017.
