Boko, March 3: Traditional community fishing held in Moiham Beel at Boko on Sunday. Laba Kumar Rabha a resident from Tinigharia Village said that the “community fishing festival created a festive atmosphere” .
According to the villagers during the fishing they got different kind of fishes like Chital (Humped Feather Back fish), Kandhuli (Feather back fish), Moa (Indian Carplet), Boriala (Aspodiparia), Puthi (Swam Barb), Crabs and many other fishes. Villagers also sang traditional songs during the fishing festival.
Villagers from Kamrup and Goalpara district also took part in community fishing.
