Missing Neel Acharya body recovered
Few days ago, the lifeless body of Neel Acharya, a student enrolled at Purdue University, was found. Acharya had been reported missing by his mother on Sunday, and unfortunately, a few hours later, authorities identified a body discovered on the university campus.
Gaury, Neel’s mother, had turned to social media for help in locating her son. She mentioned that the last person to see Neel was an Uber driver who had dropped him off at the campus. The details surrounding his untimely death are currently being investigated.
Vivek Saini murdered
In a separate incident, Vivek Saini, a resident of Haryana’s Panchkula, tragically lost his life in an appalling incident in Lithonia, Georgia, on January 16. Saini, an MBA student in Lithonia, was employed part-time at a convenience store where he encountered a homeless man named Julian Faulkner.
Having previously extended acts of kindness, such as providing chips, water, and even a jacket to Faulkner, Saini found himself in a harrowing situation on January 16. Allegedly, the 25-year-old student refused to provide Faulkner with complimentary food, leading to a frenzied attack. The assailant, identified as Faulkner, reportedly struck Saini around 50 times, as reported by the police.
Akul Dhawan found dead
In another distressing incident, Akul Dhawan, an 18-year-old Indian student, was found dead outside the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in January. The autopsy indicated that his cause of death was hypothermia.
However, Dhawan’s parents have raised concerns and filed a complaint, accusing the university’s police department of negligence and inaction after their son was reported missing. Ish Dhawan, Akul’s father, expressed disbelief, stating, “This is bizarre, that a kid is never found who was just less than a block, like one minute away, sitting there, dead, frozen to death.” The family is seeking answers regarding the circumstances leading to their son’s tragic demise.
