Agartala, Apr 7: Tripura chief minister Manik Saha said that the primary competition for the BJP lies within its own ranks rather than against the opposition INDIA bloc candidates who are already out of the poll fray.

Talking to reporters during a roadshow in Kanchanpur, Saha said that the real contest is between BJP candidates Biplab Kumar Deb in West Tripura and Maharani Kriti Devi Singh Debbarma in East Tripura, who wins with bigger numbers.

“We are getting a good response and it has been sure that the BJP will wins in bigger margin. Everybody is excited and want to see ‘Modiji’ as the Prime Minister of the country. We are definately winning the two Lok Sabha seats in Tripura,” said Saha.

CM Manik Saha predicted a landslide victory for the BJP and its allies, surpassing the 400-seat target and securing a stronger mandate than in 2019.

Meanwhile, Maharani Kriti expressed confidence in her victory, attributing it to the support of her grandmother, Maharani Kanchan Prabha Devi, after whom Kanchanpur is named, as well as local voters and the Chief Minister.
