Must read

Agartala, June 10: The TIPRA Students’ Federation (TSF), the student wing of the TIPRA Motha party, submitted a memorandum in the office of Tripura’s Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Monday, seeking his intervention and urged for a CBI probe into the recent leak of the answer key for the recruitment exam conducted by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

The TTAADC authorities had decided to postpone the written examination for the recruitment of Sub Zonal Development Officers and Deputy Principal Officers, which was scheduled for Sunday. This decision was announced by CK Jamatia, Chief Executive Officer, along with Datamohan Jamatia, Chairman of the Recruitment Board, and Moslim Uddin, Additional CEO, during a press conference at the Agartala Press Club.

The TSF demanded exemplary punishment for those involved in the leaking of the answer key. “We call for a thorough investigation and strict action against the culprits to maintain the integrity of the recruitment process,” the memorandum stated.

According to reports, the answer key for the examination had been leaked and widely distributed via WhatsApp, leading to the postponement of the exam. The CEO confirmed this during the press conference, highlighting the seriousness of the issue.

Reportedly, a day ago, the state police had arrested the owner of a photocopy shop in Agartala in connection with the case and are currently searching for one more suspect.

Approximately 26,000 candidates were expected to appear for the written examination across 71 locations, competing for 110 posts. The TTAADC authorities emphasized the importance of the exam, which was being conducted after a gap of at least twelve years, underscoring the need to uphold its fairness and credibility.

The TSF and other concerned parties are pressing for a CBI investigation to ensure that those responsible for the leak are held accountable and that such incidents do not reoccur in the future.
