Agartala, Sep 22: An arms trader was arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) from the Silchar-Agartala Express during a routine passenger check and recovered two pistols and two magazines from his possession.
The arms trader was apprehended when the train crossed into Dharmanagar, a locality in North Tripura district along the Assam border.

Uttam Kumar Kaloi, the officer-in-charge of GRP stationed in Dharmanagar, disclosed that their team successfully identified and apprehended the arms trader, seizing the two pistols and magazines in question.
The individual under arrest has been identified as Bishik Chakma, originally from Manu, Sitlapara, in the Dhalai district of Tripura. Presently, he resides in Korbuk, Mogchari, within the Gomati district.
