Tura, Nov 29: The Tura Champions Trophy witnessed another exciting match on Wednesday with Garuda Foundation and Greenwood Darenggre locking horns at the GBHSS Artificial Football Turf, Chandmary, Tura.

The first half of the match was the most exciting part as both teams found the back of the net of their opponent. By the time the first half ended, the score stood at 2 – 1, with two goals by Greenwood Darenggre against the solitary goal by Garuda Foundation.

The spectators had hoped that the second half would be more exciting and that Garuda Foundation would push for the equalizer or even eye a win after the break to recharge their energy levels. However, Garuda Foundation seemed to have the wind blown out of them in the session as they couldn’t breach the defence of Greenwood Darenggre.

Greenwood Darenggre, who were already a goal ahead, took advantage of the sloppiness of their opponents and fired in another goal to make it 3 – 1, which remained till the final whistle.

Sengchang K. Sangma of the Greenwood Darenggre was adjudged as the player of the match.
