Shillong, March 17: In its effort to provide access to improved treatment options for those battling cancer, Oil India Limited has extended its support to the Dishayen Foundation through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) grant of ₹2.5 crore, paving the way for the installation of state-of-the-art CO2 diode machines in the Oncology Department of Tura Civil Hospital.
This development promises to enhance cancer care services in Meghalaya, especially for patients in the Garo Hills region.

Expressing gratitude for the generous contribution, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said, “The CSR support will have a lasting impact on strengthening health infrastructure in the state, especially for cancer patients in Garo Hills.”
“The government is collaborating with different organizations with a shared purpose to further improve healthcare accessibility in the state,” he added.
